GCC Notes September 25, 2023

OKTOBREWFEST (SUMMIT/PEAK): This coming Saturday, September 30th we are singing downtown at Oktobrewfest! Singers should be downtown at Lincoln Park by the gazebo by 10:40 dressed in their blue polo shirts and bottoms of choice. Be sure to leave time to find parking and get into the park as it will be fenced off with only two entrances (typically on the east and west sides). We sing on the steps of the gazebo, which faces south, so singers will be in the sun (if it is shining) the entire time. Sunglasses, water bottles and sunscreen are highly recommended! Our performance will begin shortly after 11:00 am after opening remarks and should last about 30 minutes. BLUE POLOS: If you have paid for a blue polo and haven't received it yet, you can get it at rehearsal tomorrow night! SNAP! RAISE: With two weeks left of our campaign, we have reached just over $7700! If you haven't participated yet, you still have the opportunity to do so. You can enter emails and/or share the campaign on your social media sights! Just a reminder that the purpose of us doing this is to keep GCC affordable and help more families get involved and some of our current families stay involved. The unfortunate reality is that everything is costing more, as you all know, and we are trying hard to avoid raising tuition. We so appreciate your help with this! REMIND APP: If you haven't joined Remind and would like to get the email information through this avenue, see the attached invite. NUTCRACKER CHOIR (SUMMIT/PEAK): Ms. Davis is handing out forms at rehearsal tomorrow night for your child to fill out if they are interested in performing in the Nutcracker Choir. Acceptance into this group is not guaranteed and will be filled partially on a first come first served basis and also on a balance of parts/experience needed. If your child is interested, the form MUST be returned to Ms. Davis on October 2. We apologize for the quick turnaround! Details are clearly laid out on the form. Please speak to Ms. Davis with questions.

GPO: The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra will be having their first concert of their season on October 14th. Please see attached flyer for information. Students can get tickets for $5.00 using the code EXPERIENCE. We love to support our fellow musicians! POINSETTIA POPS (PEAK): Speaking of the GPO, Peak Performers will be singing with them for the Poinsettia Pops concert on Saturday, December 2nd. This is not a pop-up. This is a required concert on the contract. This is a popular holiday event that most years sells out. So, if you want to go and see the concert (you can drop your singer off and pick them up after), we suggest planning ahead and getting tickets sooner rather than later! We get a buy one, get one code which is: JOYFUL 24 SAVE THE DATE (SUMMIT): Summit has been invited to sing with the UNC choirs on December 1st. More details will follow soon!
